TERMS + CONDITIONS

General

  • byEthos Ltd (referred here as “ETHOS”) terms and conditions are simple and straightforward. These are activated once an email of confirmation from you for your order is received.
  • ETHOS uses email, phone call and messaging for direct communication.
  • ETHOS makes no guarantees that any of its products or services will increase your revenue, give you page one Google ranking,  or create world peace.
  • ETHOS reserves the right to decline projects that have content that is discriminatory, violent or is sexually explicit in nature.

All prices are in GBP sterling currency.

We will make reasonable efforts to ensure that the information contained within this website is correct and up to date, but we cannot accept any liability for any inaccuracies or omissions. We do not accept liability for any loss, damage or inconvenience that occurs as a result of you using this website or your reliance upon its content.

1. Websites 

“Website” and “site” are used here interchangeably both hold the same meaning referring to a page or collection of pages on the World Wide Web.


“Basic edits” refers to any updates or changes in text, replacement of images, change of colour, but it does not considerably affect the layout of the website and does not include technical work. This does not include any additional pages or features.


1.1 In cases where the customer has a current website, ETHOS must be informed of the total number of pages and the features they want to keep for the new site before we give a quotation.


1.2 ETHOS requires you to submit all the information and web content needed to complete your site before site build can proceed.


1.3 ETHOS will invoice you for the 50% deposit based on the quotation you have agreed to and when that deposit has been confirmed as paid, website build will proceed and be finalised within the approximate project time-frame. The time frame depends on the complexity and/or number of pages of the website.


1.4 ETHOS will design and build your website according to the package and add-ons you have chosen, using the information and assets you have provided.


1.5 ETHOS will use images/photos provided by you or from our database of royalty-free images. Any image found by you that needs to be purchased will be added to your invoice.


1.6 Images and Videos should be properly labeled and of the best quality possible. ETHOS will not be responsible for restoring low resolution images or recreating / redesigning an image to make it high resolution.


1.7  ETHOS offers 2 free sets of minor changes after the site is complete. The customer is expected to check all the pages of the site on different devices before sending back changes.


1.8 Once final design is approved, the website will go live once invoices are settled.


1.9 ETHOS  will only provide access to the website after it has been made live. Any changes made by the client that result in site damages, malfunction, and the like, will not be the responsibility of ETHOS. Any damage that needs to be repaired will come at an additional cost.


1.10 All site build plans will be automatically enrolled in the Monthly Website Support add-on for a minimum term of 2 months. You can choose to opt out after 2 months.

2. Graphic Design / Branding Kit

Branding kit, logo, or request for any other design materials such as brochure, business cards, flyers etc.


2.1 ETHOS will ask the customer to fill out the order form for all the details needed to get started. ETHOS will then advise the total cost for the said project unless otherwise explicitly stated like that of The Essential Branding Kit.


2.2 ETHOS will send an invoice and start the project once paid in full.


2.3 In the Essential Branding Kit, ETHOS will create 2 logo concepts to choose from, with 2 sets of revisions for the chosen design.


2.4 ETHOS will submit PNG / SVG and original artwork files within 24-48 hrs after final design is approved.


2.5 Change of reference or new set of instructions will be considered as a new order and will be invoiced accordingly.

3. Third party apps

ETHOS holds no responsibility for third party applications or websites, should they have changes or major updates that affected the functionality.

Online dispute resolution

 Online dispute resolution is an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) procedure conducted online. If you have a dispute, please go to The ODR Platform portal.

The ODR Platform provides a portal for consumers to submit a complaint to a relevant, registered ADR provider with the aim of resolving the dispute. It offers a translation function to help facilitate cross-border disputes. This platform was created as a way to settle disputes out of court in a simple, fast and low-cost way.

 Users contacting this website and/or its owner do so at their own discretion and provide any such personal details requested at their own risk. Your personal information is kept private and stored securely until a time it is no longer required or has no use, as detailed in our Privacy Policy. Every effort has been made to ensure a safe and secure form to email submission process but advise users using such form to email processes that they do so at their own risk.


This website may operate an email newsletter program, used to inform subscribers about products and services supplied by this website, and blog posts/news/articles that may be relevant. Users can subscribe through an online automated process should they wish to do so but do so at their own discretion. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with the user.


Subscriptions are taken in compliance with UK Spam Laws detailed in the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely and in accordance with the GDPR law. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company that operates this website. Email marketing campaigns published by this website or its owner may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity. In compliance with UK Spam Laws and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 subscribers are given the opportunity to un-subscribe at any time through an automated system. This process is detailed at the footer of each email campaign. If an automated un-subscription system is unavailable clear instructions on how to un-subscribe will by detailed instead.

Communication, engagement and actions taken through external social media platforms that this website and its owners participate on are custom to the terms and conditions as well as the privacy policies held with each social media platform respectively.

Users are advised to use social media platforms wisely and communicate / engage upon them with due care and caution in regard to their own privacy and personal details. This website nor its owners will ever ask for personal or sensitive information through social media platforms and encourage users wishing to discuss sensitive details to contact them through primary communication channels such as by telephone or email.

This website may use social sharing buttons which help share web content directly from web pages to the social media platform in question. Users are advised before using such social sharing buttons that they do so at their own discretion and note that the social media platform may track and save your request to share a web page respectively through your social media platform account.
